The Wedding Venue

Situated right next to the St Kilda beach, Luna Park is a one-of-a-kind amusement park that represents an all-time historic Melbourne icon. While many of us have visited and have a good time at Luna Park, little have attended a wedding at this amusement park. This is exactly what makes weddings at Luna Park so unique and memorable: imaging doing your first dance overlooking the twinkling carnival lights as well as the stunning Port Phillip Bay, Lunar Park not only offers stunning settings but also plenty of choices in terms of function spaces.

Back to the couple, it was actually a pretty fun setting when Jade and James met at a party ten years ago. After partying all night, Jade asked James if he wanted to go to Luna Park and get married. Although James replied with a cheeky "not today, but maybe one day," the couple's words eventually became a reality, and they tied the knot at Luna Park St Kilda on the 10th anniversary of their relationship. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.

The Wedding Planning

Partly thanks to Covid, after their engagement Jade and James had a good two year to plan everything for the wedding. While it may seem a little long for some brides-to-be, but in reality, giving yourself sufficient planning definitely goes a long way in making sure everything is perfect.

The Favourite Moment on The Day

Unlike the typical cliché “first look” moment, Jade’s favourite moment was actually when she felt hungry before the reception announcement, and James quickly grabbed her some food. (Wow I love that haha!)

Her second favourite moment was probably the moment of seeing herself in the wedding dress. “I felt absolutely stunning in my dream wedding dress, and the pockets are so awesome!” Jade said.

Things that You Wish to Know Earlier

“I wish I had of planned or made a list of the photos I wanted taken. I feel that I am missing some pictures of important people,” Jade said. It is true, your big day can carry away so quickly that it felt like a blink of a second, it is essential to work out a photo list with your wedding photographer so you don’t forget to take photos with your important ones on your wedding day.
